“ To preface: I dare say that everything was perfect - but perhaps the sole was, beyond well cooked, best described as perfectly okay and something that had the otherwise raving company debating applying to the uncaring algorithm the elusive and illustrative 5-star review or not. What tipped the scales were: A perfect serving of snails in a rustic yet modern fashion, the frogs deliciously likewise and a desert that escalated the culinary experience well into the Michelins (see pictured, foams and fromage served around apple confit). Add to that the excellent service and disturbingly well matched wines and I have been persuaded: This river pearl deep in the Campaigns is well worth your visit. ”
